Couples Therapy
My goals in working with you are not based on whether your relationship should continue or end but rather to help you learn more constructive and healing ways of being in connection with each other. I also strongly believe that what you learn in our work together should lead to your ability to address your relationship challenges on your own, using the tools and knowledge gained in therapy.

Couples therapy is a unique opportunity for you to learn more about how you interact with your loved ones, what gets triggered during conflict, and new ways of approaching all of life's relationships.

I incorporate several approaches when working with couples based on the unique formation of the individuals involved and the issues being presented. Generally speaking, we will work together to identify conflict triggers, reduce tension, implement communication frames, and explore the often hidden or masked undercurrent of emotions in relationship. We will also work together to identify strengths in your relationship, bolster positive connections, and integrate what you learn during the course of our work together into all intimate relationships.

Due to office space constraints, I am only able to see dyads at this time. While I am happy to work with your open relationship, our focus will remain on one specific connection at a time. Feel free to contact me to discuss further any concerns or questions you may have about this.
